11. The Chaplains Room.

This room is located directly over the public chapel, and both are connected by a small stairway in the inner wall.  This room does not have a fireplace.  Adjoining the room is a small garderobe.  On the left is a 15th century oak cupboard with a plain central door and moulded side panels with elaborate iron hinges.

On the 16th century oak chest in the window embrasure is a 17th century oak bible box, a 17th century boxwood carving depicting the temptation of Adam and Eve, and a carved wooden tower.

To the right is a 15th century oak hutch cupboard/aumbry with two doors, the upper one pierced with a Cross; the lower has a panel of Gothic tracery.  The tapestry depicts a king and a person holding a star.  The German clock is late 16th/early 17th century.  To the left of the window is a painting on panel of Adam and Eve, early 16th century.  The traveling trunk in leather is dated 1663. The head of the bed is linenfold design and the needlework bed coverlet is 17th century. The small oak chair is French c.1680.
