Traditional Irish Night

The Corn Barn, Bunratty Folk Park, Co. Clare

On arrival at the Corn Barn guests are welcomed by the ‘Fear an Ti’ (Irish for Man of the House) and are offered a welcome drink of Carolans Irish Cream Liqueur or a glass of mead.
The Fear an Tí introduces an evening of entertainment which celebrates all the best traditions of Ireland in music, song and dance.
Guests are then invited to dine in the Corn Barn – a homely venue which retains the ambience and aspects of 19th century Ireland. The 4 course meal is a pleasant balance of Irish traditional dishes with musical accompaniment.
Following dinner a full entertainment show includes storytelling, dancing and music with instrumental pieces and ballads weaving the history of the music through the ages. You are invited to enjoy the company of the finest singers, dancers and musicians of the local villages and experience the homeliness, friendship and warmth of a true traditional Irish evening.

Location

Located on the grounds of Bunratty Castle in the Folk Park. It is 6 miles from Shannon Airport off the main dual carriageway (motorway) between Shannon & Limerick City.

Historical note

The venue is the Corn Barn of Bunratty Folk Park. This contains typical rural dwellings recreated and furnished to reflect life in Ireland at the turn of the 19th century. Here are visible signs of the strong traditions of the 19th century.

One sitting daily at 7.00p.m (finish 9.30pm approx - April to October subject to demand)

Entertainment

Includes a 40 minute entertainment programme with traditional music and song, step dancing and story telling by a host of Entertainers.
