Magical new Christmas experience unveiled at King John’s Castle Limerick

Christmas King Johns

A visit to Santa’s workshop, magic shows, Christmas story telling, face painting, fun activities, culminating in a visit to the big man himself in his grotto are set to make this one of the most memorable Christmas events of the season.

“We are delighted that Santa is taking time out of his busy schedule to come to King John’s Castle and we will be doing everything to ensure that all our special visitors have a great time. We have an action packed programme planned for them and complimentary mince pies and mulled wine for our adult visitors. Christmas is about children and we are honoured that we get the opportunity to spread the magic of Christmas and create a wonderful memory for children and their families,” says Ivan Tuohy, General Manager King John’s Castle.

Visitors to the experience will be welcomed by Santa’s elves before being brought to visit Mrs. Claus who loves to meet all the children before they see the main man, Santa! The journey to Santa’s grotto will involve plenty of stop-offs and encounters along the way. Among the characters are the Snow Queen, Jack Frost, the Christmas Grinch and Scrooge. They will experience a magic show along the way, a visit to Santa’s workshop and a chance to chat to the hard working elves.

They will get an opportunity to make and post their own letters to Santa. In addition they will be able to put a special wish ribbon on the magical Christmas tree in the castle courtyard. A photographer will be on hand to capture the magical visit to Santa in his grotto.
