COVID-19 Update

We are following all public health advice in relation to COVID-19. We are liaising closely with the Health Service Executive (HSE) and the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC), who are experts in this area.

From an aviation perspective we are also taking guidance from the Airports Council International (ACI) and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The HSE has staff at Shannon Airport to assist arriving passengers who may have concerns in relation to COVID-19. We will continue to monitor the situation closely.
In addition to this, there are strict procedures in place to deal with any passenger who presents with an acute respiratory infection from an inbound aircraft.
We will continue to work closely with all relevant agencies. Any change in guidelines from these authorities will be communicated immediately.
The best way to prevent the spread of coronavirus is to practice good hand and respiratory hygiene habits.
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water. An alcohol-based hand may also be used.
  • When coughing and sneezing, cover your mouth and nose. Sneeze or cough into a tissue or your elbow. Discard the tissue immediately and then wash your hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand rub.
